I began by watching the first tutorial video, B.11 GIMPshop Video Tutorial: Progressive and Interlaced
After I watched the second video, B.12 GIMPshop Video Tutorial: Progressive JPEG
I began doing the exercise (Midterm 5A) by opening the image in GIMP and writing my name using the pen tool.
I then saved the image as copy and gave it a .png file format
Finally I saved the image again as a JPEG and adjusted the quality. I also checked the progressive box to ensure that it was loaded as a progressive image.
After I completed midterm5A, I watched the third and final video B.13 GIMPshop Video Tutorial: Interlaced PNG
I then saved the image as a gif file much the same as I did for the jpeg. Except here I chose interlaced (Adam7) - the creator of interlacing for png files - and then saved the image.
