For this assignment, I started by downloading the selected file (Ball.TIF), and opened it in GIMP. From there, I followed the tutorial in our textbook to create the files above. I used the save as option, then selected the appropriate file extension (JPEG, GIF, PNG) and the saved the image in those formats.
